Title	Tea scoop named Zuiun (Auspicious Clouds)
Description	This chashaku, crafted in dark bamboo, was fashioned by Goto Zuigan Roshi, 503rd abbot of Daitokuji ZenTemple in Kyoto, Japan, and first Zen master to Hounsai Daisosho, the 15th generation Urasenke Grand Master. The work exhibits a strong and assured character with many fine details apparent in the craftsmanship. A fine, tubular bamboo case made by Kuroda Shogen, a master craftsman specializing in bamboo, accompanies the chashaku. The Kuroda family is one of the ten artisan families, known as the Senke Jusshoku, associated with the three Sen traditons of tea, of which Urasenke is a part. The poetic name Zuiun (Auspicious Clouds) was given to this chashaku by its maker. A paulownia box, with calligraphy describing the item's provenance, provides protection for the set.
